Five Ways to Eat Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough (Central Florida Edition)

Meal ideas and pairings for jalapeño cheddar sourdough using ingredients easy to find in Lake County, FL.

Grilled cheese, obviously — but use a second cheese. Sharp cheddar in the loaf plus a melty Monterey Jack between the slices is the move.

Breakfast sandwich: thick slice, fried egg, avocado, hot sauce. This is the reason we bake it in the first place.

Chili night. Toast thick slices under the broiler with butter and use them as the spoon. Works with black bean chili just as well as beef.

Pulled pork sliders. Slice thin, toast the cut sides, pile with pork and slaw. Florida barbecue plus Florida bread.

Straight, warm, with cold butter, standing at the counter. No shame. Half the loaf disappears this way in most houses.
