Breakfast sandwich: thick slice, fried egg, avocado, hot sauce. This is the reason we bake it in the first place.
Chili night. Toast thick slices under the broiler with butter and use them as the spoon. Works with black bean chili just as well as beef.
Pulled pork sliders. Slice thin, toast the cut sides, pile with pork and slaw. Florida barbecue plus Florida bread.
Straight, warm, with cold butter, standing at the counter. No shame. Half the loaf disappears this way in most houses.
